SEEL, LLC Announces the Transition of Scott Alan Davis to Director of Energy Access and Equity

(Detroit – August 19, 2021) SEEL, LLC (Solutions for Energy Efficient Logistics) recently announced the transition of Scott Alan Davis from Director of Operations to Director of Energy Access & Equity. In this new role, Scott will lead SEEL’s diversity and equity relationships with clients, partners, industry associations and SEEL’s internal team. Scott will also work closely with SEEL’s strategy team to build and pursue new and emerging opportunities for growth.

“We are excited about Scott’s new role.” Said Louis E. James, president and CEO of SEEL. “As a national MBE energy programs implementer, diversity, equity and inclusion are an integral part of SEEL’s DNA. So, it made sense to appoint an internal champion to ensure that SEEL remains in the forefront of diversity within the industry. It is also an imperative that we advocate for energy equity in our service to the community. Given his knowledge, talent and passion, there was no better person than Scott to serve in this capacity.”

James noted that Scott’s eight-year tenure with SEEL has been nothing short of amazing. During this time, he has served as outreach and marketing manager, senior program manager, portfolio director, and most recently director of operations. He has proven himself to be an asset and profound advocate committed to SEEL’s mission and overall growth as a company. Having implemented and maintained protocols within the company that have improved operational efficiency, Scott has repeatedly been recognized for his outstanding achievements.

Over the years, he has won several awards and has been recognized numerous times for his work. Notably, he received the Michigan Chronicle Men of Excellence Award and was honored with SEEL’s Chairman’s Award for outstanding service to the company. He has served on several boards and community action committees and is a mentor to young professionals, youth and ex-offenders.

Scott was officially certified as a DEI Professional and Leader by the AESP’s DEI Council and most recently was appointed to serve on the Council.

A graduate of Calvin University in Grand Rapids, MI, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts and Science, Scott went on to earn a master’s degree in Administration Education from Marygrove College in Detroit. Scott has also received national certifications from the National Training Institute as a trainer in Conflict Resolution, Diversity, Multiculturalism, and Facilitation.
